Terms of Service
Part A · All games and apps
1. Who we are
Afrisovera Studios is a trading name of Afrisovera Global Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17244459), registered office Office 19286, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of our games and apps (our "titles"), which are listed in section 2 of our Privacy Policy.
2. Using our titles
- By installing or using a title you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
- Avena and Safehold are for adults aged 18 and over. Our games are for people aged 13 and over.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
- Google Play's own terms also apply to downloads from Google Play.
3. Accounts
Some apps need an account. Please give accurate details, keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account unless it was not your fault. You can delete your account at any time in the app or at studios.afrisovera.com/delete-account.
4. Fair use
You must not use our titles to:
- break the law, or sell or advertise anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or anything Stripe does not allow;
- mislead, defraud, harass or threaten anyone, or pretend to be someone else;
- post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that you do not have the right to share;
- interfere with, copy, reverse engineer or overload our titles or servers, or cheat in our games using bots or modified software;
- collect other users' personal data for your own purposes.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add, such as event details, photos, messages and proof. You give us permission to store, display and share it only as needed to run the title (for example, showing an event page to the public or showing deal messages to the other person in the deal). You confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
6. Our content and licence
Our titles, their design, code, graphics and names belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for their intended purpose. This licence ends if you delete the title or we close your account under section 13.
7. Ads and purchases in games
Our free games may show ads (see our Privacy Policy for your choices). If a game ever sells in-game items, they are sold through Google Play billing, and Google Play's refund rules apply alongside your legal rights.
Part B · Avena and Safehold
8. Avena (event tickets)
- Our role. Avena lets organisers list events and sell tickets. The organiser, not us, runs the event and is the seller of the ticket. Your contract for the event is with the organiser.
- Buying a ticket. You pay the ticket price shown. Payment goes to the organiser through their Stripe account, and Stripe emails you a receipt. Your ticket appears in the app.
- Refunds. If an organiser cancels an event, every paid ticket is refunded in full to the card used. Other refund requests are decided by the organiser, subject to your legal rights. Tickets for leisure events on a specific date are not covered by the 14-day cancellation right under UK consumer law.
- Organisers must describe their events honestly, hold the right to run them, follow the law (including venue, safety and licensing rules), deliver the event as described, and deal with buyers' questions and complaints. Organisers set up payouts with Stripe before tickets go on sale.
- Reporting. You can report an event from its page. We review reports and may remove events that break these terms.
9. Safehold (protected payments)
- How it works. A buyer and seller agree a deal in the app: what will be delivered, the price and how completion will be proven. The buyer pays by card and Stripe places a hold on the payment on the seller's Stripe account. When the buyer confirms the work is done, Stripe completes the payment to the seller. The contract for the goods or services is between the buyer and seller.
- We never hold the money. Stripe holds the payment, not us. Safehold is not a bank, a deposit or an escrow service, and we are not a party to the contract between buyer and seller.
- How long a hold lasts. A card hold normally lasts up to 7 days, and for some cards less. If a deal is not confirmed or cancelled in that time, the hold may expire and the buyer's card is released; the buyer may then need to pay again to continue the deal. Please agree deals that can be completed within that time.
- Cancelling. Either person can cancel a deal in the app until the buyer pays. After that, the payment is either released by the buyer or settled through "Report a problem" below.
- If there is a problem. Either person can report a problem in the app before the payment is released. Both can add their side and evidence. Our team reviews it against the proof both people agreed at the start, and decides whether the held payment is released to the seller, returned to the buyer, or split between them. We aim to decide within 5 working days. Our decision only settles the held payment. It does not stop either of you from using your legal rights or your card provider's chargeback process.
- Sellers must deliver what was agreed, give honest proof, follow the law, and set up payouts with Stripe before a deal can be paid.
10. Payments by Stripe
Card payments, holds, refunds and payouts in Avena and Safehold are provided by Stripe. Organisers and sellers who receive payments open their own Stripe account through the app and agree to the Stripe Services Agreement directly with Stripe. They are the merchant for their sales: their name appears on the buyer's card statement, and refunds, chargebacks and Stripe's own processing fees are handled on their Stripe account. We never see or store your full card details.
11. Our fees
| App | Who pays | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Avena | The organiser, out of each paid ticket | 5% of the ticket price (free tickets: no fee). Refunded to the organiser if the ticket is refunded after a cancellation. |
| Safehold | The seller, when the payment is released | 2.5% of the deal amount, minimum 50p. No fee if the deal is cancelled or the payment goes back to the buyer. |
Stripe also charges organisers and sellers its own processing fees on their Stripe account. Buyers pay only the price shown. We will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before any fee increase.

12. Changes and availability
We keep improving our titles and may change or stop features. We will try to keep them available but cannot promise they will always work without interruption. We may update these terms; if a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
13. Suspending or closing accounts
You can stop using a title or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content or events, if we reasonably believe these terms or the law have been broken, or to protect other users. Where we can, we will tell you why. Open tickets and deals will be settled fairly, and money held by Stripe is never kept by us.
14. Our responsibility to you
- We provide our titles with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
- We are not responsible for events, goods or services provided by organisers and sellers, or for what users say or do, although we will help where we can.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control.
- If you use our titles for business (for example as an organiser or seller), our total responsibility to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
15. Complaints and the law
If you have a complaint, please email us first and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep any protections of the law where you live.
